The Slovak Republic was represented at this year's global finals of the competition by Artur Gevorkyan, founder of Gevorkyan and holder of the title EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 of the Slovak Republic. It was a pleasure for me to accompany Artur and present his story to the international jury. Artur's entrepreneurial talent and innovative thinking know no bounds and he is deservedly ranked among the world's entrepreneurial elite," says Marián Bíž, Managing Partner of EY in Slovakia.

EY organizes the EY Global Entrepreneur of the Year competition each year to celebrate the achievements of visionary leaders who are confidently shaping the future, driving economic growth and responding to global challenges. This annual event brings together founders, CEOs and business leaders for a series of networking events and workshops, culminating in the announcement of the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year winner.

“It was an unforgettable experience – a few days spent with the best entrepreneurs in the world from more than 50 countries and all continents. During the three days, I talked with people who are truly passionate about what they do – some of them are already third-generation entrepreneurs! I was touched by their humility, respect for other people and cultures, and their words like: ‘We came to listen, listen... and learn.’ Apparently, that is why they believe that they can make the world a better place and pass on their companies to the next generations. Thank you for everything!” – Artur Gevorkyan conveys his feelings.
